Piwang (Tibetan Fiddle)

Piwang (Tibetan fiddle) is made of wood, animal skin and strings. This instrument comes in two sizes. The larger Piwang is played mainly in Kham, eastern region of Tibet especially while performing folk dances called Bashey. The smaller one is more popular in Central Tibet especially while playing popular Nangma-Toeshey songs.
